Residents who know their neighbors renew.
Events, interest groups, and discussions live in the app residents already open for rent, keys, and requests, so they actually use them. You keep more residents, hear what's going on in every building, and fix problems before they turn into reviews.

From neighbors to renewals

Friends are why people stay
A new building down the street can match your amenities. It can't match the neighbor someone runs with on Saturdays. Residents with seven or more friends in the building are 62% more likely to plan to renew than residents with none, and interest groups are where those friendships start.

Events people actually go to
Residents suggest and host their own events, and every event shows who's going. An invite from a neighbor, with friends already on the list, beats another flyer from the office.

Get there before the bad review
Residents talk about your building either way. In a Facebook group, a WhatsApp chat, or a Reddit thread, you can't see it or answer, and those threads show up in Google and AI search. In Venn, your team sees the conversation, and an AI agent checks every post and reply against your guidelines before it goes up.

Why community belongs on your Company Brain
A community app sees posts and RSVPs. Your Company Brain sees the resident behind them, with their lease, requests, and packages.

Questions about Community & Events
What is Venn Community & Events?
Venn Community & Events runs events, interest groups, and discussions for apartment communities, on your Company Brain. Your team manages them from the Venn Hub, and residents RSVP, join groups, and post in your branded resident app. It's built to keep residents renewing: residents with friends in the building are far more likely to stay.
Do community events and groups really improve renewals?
Yes. In a Witten Advisors study of more than 30 apartment communities, 29% of residents with no friends in the community intended to renew, compared with 47% of residents with seven or more friends. That matters because a move-out is expensive: Zego's 2022 resident experience report put the cost of replacing a resident at $3,976 in lost rent, concessions, repairs, and marketing.
How does community protect our online reputation?
Residents will talk about your building either way. When the conversation happens in a Facebook group, a WhatsApp chat, or a Reddit thread, your team can't see it or respond, and Reddit threads show up in Google and in AI search answers. When it happens in your app, your team sees an issue early, can reach out before it becomes a review, and AI keeps posts within your guidelines.
Can we track how residents feel?
Yes. The Interest groups insights report sorts every group discussion by tone and topic each month. It shows the share of negative discussions, complaints about the property, complaints by category, and which communities and groups to watch, compared with the previous period. From any category you can open the discussions behind it and go straight to the group thread.
Why not just use a Facebook or WhatsApp group?
A Facebook or WhatsApp group lives outside your platform, so it's hard to keep it to current residents and your team can't step in. It's also one more place residents have to remember. In Venn, groups and events sit in the app residents already use every week, only residents of the buildings you choose see each post, and your team manages it all from the Hub.
How does moderation work?
AI reviews every post and reply against your community guidelines before it's published, in the feed and in interest groups. Posts it holds back show as Rejected in the Hub, and your team can publish one anyway or ban a resident from posting from their Resident 360 profile.
How do waiting lists work?
When an event is full, residents tap Notify when available to join the waiting list. If someone cancels, everyone on the list gets a notification at once, and the first person to RSVP gets the spot.
Can residents create their own events or groups?
Yes. Residents can suggest an event or a group from the app, and resident-hosted events are marked as hosted by a resident. Your team approves them before they go live.
How does the app know who's a current resident?
Venn brings in residents and units from your property management system, such as Yardi, Entrata, or RealPage. Events and posts go only to the communities or buildings you choose.
Can we keep residents' details private?
Yes. Residents see their neighbors by first name and last initial. Privacy mode hides neighbor profiles and resident lists for a community, and you can hide an event's RSVP list. Your data is isolated per customer and never used to train AI models.
